Welcome!!! You found your first task! Your first two tasks are to create a site and get used to navigating. Go to www.synthasite.com and register for a new page. (To keep it easy, name the page after your name, hence a website created by Alan Fiend would ultimately end up being named www.alanfiend.synthasite.com).
The next step is to write down your new website address, e-mail log in, and password for me on a sheet of paper. (In case you lose your log in information or are having problems with a certain feature of the site, I can then log in as you and help solve the problem.)
The next step is to create a home page that includes the following... - links to everyone else's pages (after you get the page set up and all of the below tasks finished, I should have the HUMANITIES home page up and running with the correct links to your classmates' sites) - a link to our Humanities home page (www.wdcenglish.synthasite.com) - a link to a page about you (a.k.a. a bio page) [this page should define who you are: pictures, links, words, etc.] - a header on the page that lets us all know whose page we're on 3) you are to create a new page (have it linked to your home page on the main menu bar), title it "bio page" and write about yourself that is at least 6 sentences long that addresses who you are and what your favorite interests are. In that blurb about yourself, create links to at least 2 outside sources that would/could lead viewers to pages that reflect your interests. (i.e. hotmail or espn.com) On the bottom of the page, make sure you have a link back to your main home page. |
